On the basis of the warrant issued for not going to testify in the court, the policemen pushed an official of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and brought him to the police station. When BJP and Sangh workers came to know about this, they got angry and they reached Banna Devi police station and started creating ruckus. They sat there in protest and started reciting Hanuman Chalisa. Later, SP City put the post in-charge on the line. Only then the commotion subsided.
Omprakash Sharma, resident of ITI Road, is the metropolitan service head in the union. He has to testify in a case, in which even after being summoned, when he did not reach the court, his warrant was issued. On the basis of this warrant, Halka Chowki in-charge reached his house along with some other sub-inspectors and half a dozen policemen at around 10 in the morning. It is alleged that the wife asked him to worship her. Ignoring him, the policewoman picked them up from the puja and left. Not even allowed to wear clothes and slippers. Later, instead of showing the warrant, he showed the warrant on his mobile and asked for arrest and production in the court. It is alleged that during this time he was taken to the police station by pulling and pushing. Within some time this news reached BJP and Sangh leaders.

He said that the incident is unfortunate. Police should not behave like this. He expressed regret while taking moral responsibility. In this matter, ITI outpost in-charge Arvind has been put on line and an investigation has been conducted into the entire matter. Devendra Hanuman, Ratan Kumar, Sudhir B Positive, Sandeep Kumar, Mukesh Rajput, Gopal Aggarwal, Parakh, Deepak Sharma, Madhukar etc. had reached the occasion.

MLA warned
City MLA Mukta Sanjeev Raja, after talking to top police officials, expressed his displeasure over this matter in strong words and said that this is the third consecutive incident in Bannadevi. Questions are being raised on the role of police in every incident, but no action is being taken. He said that it is extremely regrettable that the Sangh leader has now been brought forward with this behaviour. The matter will be taken to the Chief Minister. Then the police were seen coming on the back foot. Let us tell you that after the indecency with the MLA, the Rakesh Sahay incident happened in the same police station and now this incident happened. Questions are constantly being raised on the role of Bannadevi Police in this regard.
